GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SELECTING SERVICE
If your flute was purchased new or had an overhaul five or more years ago, it will most probably need an overhaul. COA is a recommended annual service for new or recently overhauled flutes. PC will take care of small adjustment problems, lost motion, loose screws or similar. If you are not sure what the flute needs, send it in for a free assesment.
INSURANCE
You may purchase shipping insurance if you don't have music instrument insurance with Clarion or another such company. Our business insurance covers all flutes in the shop and in transit back to the customer, but not on the way here.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
If you have any specific issues with your instrument you can write that in the checkout form. We will most probably detect all the issues while inspecting the flute, but it may be helpful to tell us in advance.
LOANERS
We have excellent loaner flutes, Sonare 505, either very well adjusted standard models or upgraded with Straubinger pads and gold springs. They are free with any service. You only pay for 2nd day shipping one way and ground shipping on the way back which is $45 total. We include the return fedex label in the box. You will have to drop it off at your local fedex/kinko's. Let us know if there isn't any in your area.
PACKING YOUR FLUTE
There is no need for excessive packaging. Your flute is well protected in it's case and some bubble wrap. Try to avoid popcorn.
